ODYSSEY AND THE SONG

Odyssey and the Song is an indie RPG inspired primarily by works such as the Mother series, Super Paper Mario, Deltarune, and Undertale.

Follow as four heroes travel the World, searching for the eight wish-granting Song fragments of old before the evil Lord Amavi and his right-hand-man Lyre get a hold of them and wipe out all life in the World.

Features:

[*] A traditional, primarily Earthbound-inspired front-view battle system with, based around managing both MP and PP, as well as many status effects that can shake up the battle.

[*] Story-based leveling. Instead of leveling up after gaining x amount of EXP, you level up based off of story progress.

[*] In the Demo, travel across Telakela Island to try to find the Song fragment located on the island. Complete puzzles, fight enemies, and dodge obstacles in action sequences!

[*] Many strange and quirky side characters populate the world. Especially the Funguys. I love the Funguys.

[*] JONGLER

[*] Some of my best musical work yet has been put into this game! From the adventurous vibess of Telakela Field to the epic strings of Beware the Forest Maze and the goofiness of Little Kid, Big Ego, I think I did a pretty good job. The soundtrack overall takes a more orchestral style; however, there's definitely variation from song-to-song.

[*] Experience the first parts of a deep, heartfelt story. A story of hope, fear, joy, and mourning. A story of a broken man who wishes to escape his pain. A story of Prophecy and deception. A Story of a World ravaged and reborn. A Story of Hopes. A Story of Dreams. A Story of Love. The Story of the Song.

Can the four heroes stop Lyre and Lord Amavi? Or will all go as foretold by the Prophecy?

NOTE: This is only a demo of the first area, Telakela Island, and there is bound to be some jank here and there. I am still working to improve the game. Please email me at keb@duckielabs.com to report any issues with the game so I can try to fix them by the full release.

Also, it is only for Windows right now, as I have been unable to test the Mac version. I would like to release that soon.
